The city zone (A) within the S-Bahn-Ring (city train circle) is part of the LEZ. If you want to drive with your car in the Berlin city centre, inform yourself here: LEZ stickers for tourists. This accommodation is located outside the LEZ. You can leave your car here and travel with public transport into the city centre.

situation
These
guest rooms are located in northern end of Berlin
Prenzlauer Berg, with a clear view all the way to the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz
in downtown east. Taking tram 12 from the city centre to the stop Friesickestraße
(behind our building) will get you here in 22 minutes. This stop is also serviced
by another tram. Nearby is a Lidl supermarket. The bakery “Brotfabrik”
and the “Delphi” cinema are within walking distance.
The
house
Mediterranean
ambience in a renovated building created by the artists themselves. This is a
free standing tenement building in Berlin with an bright looking backyard (garden
house) used for artist studios. It lies surrounded by old and crumbling trade
yards from the last century which lend it its special charm. As there are few
other tenement buildings around, parking is always available. Both guest
rooms face south into a quiet street.
 The
apartment
Your
host is a genuine “Berliner”, an artist in his mid 50s, who provides
quiet sleeping facilities in his two-story apartment under the roof with a terrace
providing a view over the roofs of Prenzlauer Berg. The building is fully renovated.

The guest rooms
The
guest rooms are freshly decorated and fitted out in African/Asian style. Each
contains a double bed of 140 x 200 cm (55 x 79 inches). An additional bed can
be provided in each room. The doors can be locked by key.
The brightness
of the rooms is agreeable. Paintings and creations underline the artistic ambience.
The rooms are non-smoking – smoking is allowed on the upstairs terrace.
Considering our guests who are allergic to animal hair it is not possible to take domestic animals with you. The accommodation does not suit to families with small children.
Free access to internet via WLAN (WiFi).
Guests
are invited to prepare their tea or coffee (our drinking water is of mineral water
quality) in our huge 50 m² (538 sqft.) open kitchen with terrace and wide
view. A section of the fridge is reserved for guests, and some light cooking is
allowed..
For
an extensive breakfast, guests should visit one of the many breakfast buffets
which the town provides in abundance. An “almost” insider tip is the
“Ein Sonntag im August” only 10 minutes away by tram, where you
can have a daily breakfast for euro 3 all-you-can-eat until 9:00 pm. There is also free internet-access via Wlan.

If
you have any questions concerning the art scene or galleries in Berlin, do ask
your host who is very knowledgeable and will help you gladly. He will also be
happy to introduce you to galleries if you have something to exhibit or just want
to make some contacts. Have a look at your host’s studio in the garden house.
You may even find something there to take home with you.
