flat is situated in the upper ground floor (front building) of a
typical Berlin block of flats, built in 1876, situated in the hip quarter ("Kiez")
The building is typically traditional, built in the old building techniques of stone upon stone, with thick walls, high, artistically decorated ceilings and outside facades - all contributing to its special charm. The front of the house was restored 2005 to the original state.
The accommodation is furnished in a modern style but you still can see
the years of reckless financial speculation (in all rooms there is stucco,
in the bathroom it is laid open and preserved in an exemplary way.
rooms have been renovated with central heating and hot-water supply. The ideal
own flat for Berlin tourists, night owls or if you like to visit your family.
Commercially controlled parking spaces are available in front of the house. This implies that you can only park for a fee and it is accessible from Mo-SA 9am-24pm for 1 euro/h. In the northern Prenzlauer Berg, limited free parking is available. Depending on availability you can book a parcing sticker directly at the host for 5 euro per night or use one of the multi-storey car parks.
You could rent a bike directly in the house for 5 euros per day.
Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) – LEZ stickers
The city zone (A) within the S-Bahn-Ring (city train circle) is part of the LEZ. If you do not have a sticker for the LEZ of Berlin city centre, you can find information here, on how to get LEZ stickers for tourists.

Like only few other houses this one also has conserved
the flair of the reunification period and reflects the district life ("Kiezleben")
of Eastern Berlin. Within few minutes you reach on foot the Kollwitzplatz as same
as the Hackescher Markt (city train) and the Alexanderplatz (city-train).
The underground line no. 2 has a very near station (Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and Senefelder
Platz); several tram lines complete the public traffic.

cellar underneath the bar) or
Knaackstrasse with the café Pasternak, a Russian restaurant with
live music and just some steps away the "Hausbar", in which you still
quench your thirst until five o'clock in the morning
Helmholtzplatz (the "old" heart of the Prenzlauer Berg) with
the related Dunckerstrasse - a quarter with formerly many occupied houses
