The location of Munich Obersendling

The guest rooms are in the district “Obersendling” of the state capital Munich of Bavaria. To the southern entrance of Octoberfest it is only about 20 minutes from the house in total using public traffic including footpath. Many places of interest are very convenient to reach by using the undergound U3: Marienplatz (old town, city hall), Karlsplatz (Stachus), Schloss (castle at Odeonsplatz), Tierpark (zoo), Universität (university), Olympiazentrum, BMW Welt etc.

Directly in the house there is a supermarket, which offers you a quite convenient shopping opportunity. Also a Sparkasse (bank) and a snack bar are on the ground floor of the building.

The guest rooms

The 8 geustrooms are suitable for up to 19 people and are on the 1st floor (without lift) of a residence and- business-building in a residential area.

There is 1 room "big" (ca. 20 m² ) for up to 5 people with 2 single beds and for the 3rd to 5th guests there is a mattress for each. Furthermore there are 5 rooms "small" (ca. 10 m² ) and 2 rooms "mini" (ca. 8 m² ), they are almost identical (exept the 2 m² ) and each room is for up to 2 guests and it has a single bed and for the 2nd guest a mattress. Otherwise, the rooms are simply arranged with coat rack, shelf, desk and chair.

The bathroom has 2 showers and is shared by the rooms. There are 2 separate toilets. The small kitchen with a fridge can also be shared. There is WiFi for free. Normaly the rooms are non-smoking, but it is allowed to smoke at the completely opened window (ventilation is important, so that the other guests are not disturbed by it.

The accommodation is not suitable for small children and wheelchair users. You can take a quiet and well behaved pet with you, but should be noticed in advance. The washing machine can be used at a small price (1 euro per hour). Of course, you get one key per room.

About the host

"I am originally from China, have studied mechanical engineering and MBA in Darmstadt and Munich and have been already nearly 9 years in Germany. Since nearly 5 years I have experience with flat share organization and rooms leasing, which is a part of my freelance work. As hobby I like to go snowboarding and ski, sailing, tennis and taichi. My favorite place is Walchen Lake in spring, when a pice of snow is still at the top of the mountain, simply beautiful! I speak beside German also Chinese and English"

Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) – LEZ stickers
The area inside the middle ring of Munich (city circle) is part of the LEZ. If you want to drive with your car in the Munich city centre, inform yourself here: LEZ stickers for tourists. This accommodation is located outside the LEZ. You can leave your car here and travel with public transport into the city centre.

Public transportation

Underground U3 stop "Aidenbachstrasse" is only 3 minutes by bus or 10 minutes walk. At the U3 station“Aidenbachstrasse” there is a big bus-station, which offers buses to nearly all directions in Munich. That is also the center of the city-area “Obersendling” and there are many restaurants, banks and shopping-opportunities.

Night-bus N40 stops near the house (stop “Siemensallee”), which can take the guest back from city center or Octoberfest even in deep night.

• Munich main station (30 min) by underground U5 (direction Laimer Platz) to Heimeranplatz, than by bus 63 (direction Forstenrieder Allee) until Marienstern.
