The
surroundings
Blankenfelde is a district with a garden city character in
the south of Berlin with the first recorded mention of the district/town dating
back approximately 625 years. A trip to Berlin is recommended. This cultural
hot-spot features museums, theatre, concert supplies and so on...
But also in Blankenfelde and the surrounding environment there are many things to see. On the old village square the old-style forge is to be found from the time of the 30-years War during the 17th century. If you hear the sound of hammer on anvil, feel free to go and take a quiet peek over the blacksmith's shoulder.
The seaside resort in Mahlow (the neighboring district) owes its existence to the claymine of a brickyard. At the start of the twenties it ran completely and unsystematically on water only! In 1923 machine-builder Alfred Grasnick leased the area and transformed it into public baths.
South of Blankenfelde, in the Dahlewitzer Heide, is a moor. Here endangered species of birds - 70 different types are documented- and the endangered otter find their habitats here unimpaired. There is a nature path so that visitors can become acquainted with this rare glimpse of nature.
A further 3 km away is the lake Rangsdorfer See. In the winter the frozen lake becomes the meeting place of the icesailer. In addition, it is the meeting place year on year of several species of migratory birds. Therefore a large area was placed under nature protection.
Description
of the accommodation
You will stay in a cosy gueshouse south of Berlin,
consisting of two separate rooms. A smaller room (approx. 15 m²) with
2 beds and a larger room (approx. 25 m²) with 3 beds (an additional is bed possible
+ sofa-bed). Both rooms have sky TV and are very cosily furnished. Furthermore
there is a large kitchen, which is fully equipped, and contains
a large bath with tub, shower and toilet only for the guests. Self-sufficiency
is also possible since the kitchen is available for use. By arrangement you can also
be served breakfast.
Upon request a small dog can be brought along as well.

The rooms are on the upper floor of a new single family
house with large garden and playground with 2 swings and a large climbing frame.
It is situated in a quiet street a safe place for children to play and it has
its own parking lots.
