The guest rooms

The guest rooms are on the first floor of a one-family-house in a quiet side-street. In the large room are two single beds, a wardrobe with mirror, a chest of drawers, a table with two chairs, television and a new, very nice parquett floor.

There is a further small room, which you can also book, in the room is one single bed, a wardrobe, a small balcony, a table with a chair, television and a new, very nice parquett floor.

In the kitchen you will find all necessary things for preparing breakfast or meals: microwave, cooking facilities, watercooker, toaster and a fridge. The kitchen and the bathroom are for shared use.

If both rooms are booked, you will have the whole apartment available for your use, including a separate entrance, bathtub and kitchen.

As this is a non-smoking apartment we ask not to smoke in the apartment.

The hosts

The house is owned by a German-Indian couple. Your hostess is a professional musician. She does a lot of work at home, so the house will not be quiet all the time. There are not pets living in the house.

Parking

You can find parking facilities near the house.

It takes about 20 minutes to the city center and about 5 minutes to the motorway to Cologne or Wuppertal.

The surrounding : Duesseldorf-Benrath

Benrath is situated in the south of Duesseldorf. About 100 years ago it was an independant small town, which can still be felt. You can get here (almost) everything you need or want, you don't have to go into the city centre.

You find shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, facilities to do sports (swimming, jogging, ice skating).

AND: Famous Benrath castle with its lovely gardens through which you can walk or cycle to the river Rhine and its wide banks.

How to get from the house to...

To Benrath station about 5 minutes walking distance. Near the house stops of trams and busses to the city center, Hilden, Haan, Wuppertal and Solingen.

the airport: about 13 minutes by train from station Benrath

the main station: from Benrath station by city train (12 minutes) or by local train (7 minutes)

the city center: by city train to the main station, then by underground to Heinrich-Heine-Allee (about 20 minutes)

fairground Duesseldorf : by city train to the main station, then by underground to the fair (35-44 minutes)

fairground Cologne: by city train S6 (52 min) by regional train (35 min) from Benrath station to Köln/Deutz Messe

Benrath castle

The Benrath castle was built in 1755 by Duke Karl Theodor for enjoyment, not for continous living. The castle and its lovely gardens is one of the attractions in Duesseldorf.

You can visit the castle only with guided tours, which start every hour from the museums shop in the left wing of the castle.
