The situation
The apartment lies in a quiet side street, just around the corner from the gallery mile Brunnenstrasse, Bernauer Strasse with documentation centre on the Berlin wall, Mauerpark with a huge, hippy flea market and the idyllic Arkonaplatz. Zionskirchplatz and Kastanienallee are just a short walk away. The countless number of cafés, restaurants and bars have made this area one of the most attractive areas of the capital city. The tram station, Bernauer Straße (U8, Tram 10) is a 1 minute walk away. Kollwitzplatz and the Max-Schmeling-Halle are within walking distance.
The apartment
The large 60 m² apartment is situated on the 1st floor of a front house, has 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen with dining table.
The big room can also serve purely as a living room (see photos). A desk and fax machine can be set up if requested. The room is equipped with 2 comfortable sofas, which can be used as a single bed (200x90 cm) or converted into a double bed (200x180 cm).
The bedroom has an extra long double bed (220x140 cm).
The apartment also has 2 TV`s equipped with DVB-T receivers and antennae, cordless telephone (free local calls), wireless router and modem (free of charge), DVD-player, 2 radios with alarm function, 1 alarm-clock, 1 dining table with 4 chairs, 2 wardrobes, 4-burner gas stove with oven, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, toaster, 2 hairdryers, iron, ironing board and a washing machine.
From the kitchen window, you can view the Bernauer Straße and what remains of the rear Berlin Wall.
The apartment is non-smoking.
Bicycle rental (Holland bicycle with 3 gears for 10 Euro per day) and reception take place in a nearby café in Brunnenstraße. Apartment guests receive a 20% reduction off the varied breakfast offers. The café also offers free wireless internet to guests. |  |
