The pottery city of Frechen lies west of Cologne, in the middle of the nature reserve Kottenforst-Ville. The bed and breakfast lies in a quiet residential area within a dignified neighbourhood in the much loved front suburb of Cologne. Less than 500 m away, are the first shops and a restaurant with good food and fair prices.

This town house in the front suburb of Cologne has 3 living areas that are modernly decorated. All bedrooms have TV’s, plenty of storage space and are light and welcoming.

The top level has 3 beds - 2 bunk beds, a single bed and a small kitchen. The bathroom is in the corridor (comfortable bathroom with shower and bath). The holiday apartment has 2 rooms, each with 2 beds, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with 2 fridges and a bath/shower. Each room has a satellite TV.

The kitchen has a cooking place, coffee machine, kettle and all the necessary cutlery and crockery.

The front terrace (with cozy seats) is especially comfortable, for smokers too! There is even a place to grill. A washing machine and dryer can be used at a small charge. An iron and ironing board are available.

The hosts

The hosts are a friendly couple in pension. Their hobbies include walking (together with their dog) and playing the guitar. They love classical as well as folk music, are interested in hearing stories about the region and will gladly help with any questions you have. The hosts and their employees speak German, a little English and Polish.

• For your booking a deposit of at least 25 % is necessary and 75 % in cash when you arrive. Only last minute booking: you pay 100 % when you arrive.

The famous and lovely city of Cologne on the Rhine River has attractions of various aspects for all kinds of preferences.

Architecture lovers will particularly enjoy the most famous trademark of Cologne – its breathtaking cathedral. The numerous symphony and chamber orchestras and choirs are a real treat for music lovers.

Music is also important during the world famous carnival … let yourself be drawn into the hustle and bustle of this fifth “season”.

During the other four seasons, you can enjoy Cologne’s night life in the countless clubs, bars and restaurants with live music, hip DJ’s or cultural performances.

Cologne is also known as the convention centre city. Some of the most famous exhibitions here are the photokina (photography), the spogagafa (sport articles, camping, garden furniture) and the Anuga (nutrition / foodstuffs).

Another highlight for young and old is the adventure park "Phantasialand" by Brühl. (24 km away)

Distances

Frechen is accessible to the freeway A1 via a separate on-ramp south of the freeway crossing “Köln-West”. Parking nearby is easy to find.

Line 7 of the Cologne S-Bahn (tram) travels to Frechen. S-Bahn line 12 stops at Frechen-Königsdorf. The S13 stops during peak hours and provides a direct connection to Cologne-Bonn Airport.

Cologne Convention Centre: the bus stop is right in front of the house. From there you can reach the city train or S-Bahn and will be in Cologne city centre in 30 mins, or at the Convention Centre in 40 mins.
