The 16 studio-apartments :

The 1-room-studio apartments are situated in a tower block with elevator in the Hansa district. The so-called house giraffe with its famous park restaurant in the house is integrated into a public garden near the large city park Tiergarten, close to river Spree. The apartments are situated in the floors: 1-16 and offer sleep possibilities for altogether 60 guests.

16 spacious, light and calm city flats with a breathtaking view over the city and the whole of Berlin (on the 1th (4x), 2th (2x), 3th, 5th (2x), floors with view over the green surrounding), 2 double beds (150 x 200 cm) and a folding bed, a separate and complete fitted kitchen, separate tub/shower bath. The apartments are simple equipped, but with all necessary.

One can look from here directly on the citizens of Berlin S-Bahn (city-train).

Smoking is not allowed in the apartments.

You pay 25 % in advance and 75 % in cash when you arrive. For groups / more than 2 apartments you pay 25 % when you book and the rest of 75 % 3 weeks before you arrive.

Offers for your leisure time:

all on foot: hiking or jogging in the large city park Tiergarten with its lakes and restaurants, the Siegessäule, the Brandenburger Tor, the Potsdamer Platz, Unter den Linden, Gendarmenmarkt, including a visit in the zoo and the aquarium. Beginning at the Hansa bridge by ship for a city/bridge/lock-trip on the Spree river and the Landwehr canal or on the Havel lakes and their surroundings.
You have the possibility to go shopping at the Tauentzien, KaDeWe, Ku-Damm, Potsdamer Platz, Friedrichstraße, Regierungsviertel, Reichstag etc.

Only one city-train station to Zoologischer Garten or 8 minutes on foot.

Many sights very close by:

Brandenburg gate/Reichstag/ area of government administration in 10 min.

  • Fair center, ICC, Funkturm in approx. 18 minutes and
  • Airport Berlin Tegel in approx. 22 minutes,
  • Airport Berlin Schönefeld in approx. 55 minutes.

 

How to get there:

Airport Berlin Tegel by express bus X9
Airport Berlin Schönefeld take express train to station Zoologischer Garten, then one stop to S-Bahn (city-train) station Tiergarten, 2 minutes on foot.
Car: motorway exit Kaiserdamm, than direction Zoo into road "Straße des 17. Juni", straight ahead on Ernst-Reuter Platz, after a city-train bridge (goes over the street) turn left into the street "Klopstockstrasse"

free parking lots in front the house or in the one of the streets near by.

Advice for whealchair-users: This accommodation is not ideally suitable for wheel-chair users

The building has an elevator, an entrance without stairs and big doors to the apartments (min. 60 cm). Nevertheless, due to the smaller doors to the bathroom (only 57 cm, expection 16th floor) the apartments are not ideally suitable for wheel-chair users.
