Schöneberg isn't just a region which lies geographically between the trendy district of Kreuzberg and the middle class Wilmersdorf: with its stylish taverns, Cafés and restaurants the area itself becomes just as alive as its neighbouring quarters. In order to experience Schoeneberg, one could visit the Winterfeldtmarket, at its best on the weekend, perhaps the most well-known weekly market of Berlin. Here there are high-quality fruit and vegetable stalls as well as flowers, cheese, furniture and clothes. After which, one can experience the numerous Cafés.

It was in of Schoeneberg city hall in 1963 that John F. Kennedy famously spoke the words to the citizens of Berlin West: "Ich bin ein Berliner“. , The city-state was governed from Schoeneberg city hall up to 1989. To this day one can hear the liberty bell ring each day at noon. The cemetery in the Stubenrauchstrasse reminds us of perhaps the most famous citizen of Berlin: the great Marlene Dietrich, born in Schoeneberg in 1901.

The Apartment

The 60 m² apartment is on the 3rd floor (without elevator) in the wing of an old building which means that on the one hand it is really quiet, but on the other hand the apartment is, unfortunately, not very bright.

From Motzstrasse you can reach 3 different underground stations in less than 5 minutes (each approx. 300 m away). It also takes just a couple of minutes to walk to the Winterfeldtplatz.

The apartment is designed according to the old Berlin style: To reach the living room you have to go through the kitchen and along the hall. The living room still contains a tiled stove from the late 19th century. Heating is via a storage heater on electrics.

The kitchen is fully equipped (fridge, washing machine, electric cooker, coffee machine). The furniture in the apartment is not exactly new but still in good shape.

After a day in Berlin you can relax in the bath-tub in the tiled bathroom.

The apartment is suitable for up to 4 people. In addition to the beautiful old French bed (1.30 m wide) and the sofa-bed (1.20 m wide), both in the living room, there is also a spare bed in the store-room which can be put up in the room.

Distances
Close to the apartment (approx. 400 m) are three underground stations (lines U15, U2 and U4). Just 2 minutes on foot is a bus station.
