The apartment’s location

The apartment lies in the district Friedrichshain, in an easterly direction from Mitte. Friedrichshain is known as the inner city district of Berlin and strongly resembles the historical East Berlin. Karl-Marx-Allee is a long avenue built in the Soviet style.

About 250 m away from the apartment, lies Simon-Dach-Strasse and Boxhagener Platz – the liveliest part of this suburb. There are more than 120 restaurants, bars, pubs and cafés, as well as unusual stores; from tattoo parlours to 2nd hand and 3rd world stores … where many treasures can be found, even at a small price.

The apartment

This 42 m² apartment in the heart of Friedrichshain is in a well-kept, typical old-style Berlin building on the side wing of the 4th floor. There is ample space for 1-3 guests or even 4 if you don’t mind it a little cramped. The apartment has a living / bedroom and another bedroom, each with a double bed (140 x 200 cm). A comfortable arm chair and a table with chair are in the big room, as well as a wardrobe, TV (DVBT) and DVD player. On request, a children’s bed can be supplied.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, sink, kettle, fridge, toaster and radio. There is also a dining table with chairs.

The bathroom has a shower and toilet.

The apartment is non-smoking. Pets are not permitted.

There is no internet connection, but there are many internet cafés in the vicinity. Many bars and restaurants offer free wifi to their guests.

The host speaks fluent German, as well as English and Russian.

Transport connections

The apartment has access to very good transport connections: U-Bahn (subway), S-Bahn (city train), tram and bus stops are nearby.

For example, you can travel to:

• Ostbahnhof in just 5 minutes by bus 240 (nonstop)
• Alexanderplatz in just 8 minutes by underground
• Potsdamer Platz in about 25 minutes nonstop by bus 347 (at Potsdamer Platz: Kulturforum, Sony-Center, new Nationalgalerie, Filmmuseum, Kommunikationsmuseum, Berlinale-Palast).
• Berlin Hauptbahnhof (Main train station) in about 23 minutes, by S-Bahn to Warschauer Strasse, than by tram M10
• Zoologischer Garten in about 30 minutes; by U-Bahn from Frankfurter Tor to Alexanderplatz, then S-Bahn or regional train to Zoologischer Garten.
• Airport Berlin Tegel in about 40 minutes; by U-Bahn to Frankfurter Allee, than S-Bahn to Beusselstrasse and take the airport bus TXL
• Airport Berlin Schönefeld in about 30 minutes; by bus 240 to Ostbahnhof and the regional train to Flughafen Schönefeld Bahnhof.

Parking

There are no reserved parking places. Parking is for free on the street, but sometimes scarce. Motorbikes and bicycles can be parked in the courtyard.

Plus final cleaning of 20 euro per apartment.There is no end cleaning charge for bookings longer than 3 nights.

Every 7th night is free.
As from the third booked week, every 6th and 7th night is for free.

Minimum-stay: 2 nights, over New Year's Eve 4 nights.

Bed linen and towels are included.

For your booking a deposit of at least 25 % is necessary, the complete payment on arrival applies only to last-minute bookings.

Breakfast is not offered.
