The location The flat is situated in the north of the Eastern Berlin scene district Prenzlauer Berg, the district of the Bohemians and the creative people, the district of cafeterias, clubs, "Tante Emma" shops (small and familiar shops), yuppies, punks and multicultural lifestyles. 800 m away from there you find the Ernst-Thälmann park with the planetarium.
The large flat with about 50 sq m is situated in the ground floor of a well-tended old building - during summer time it is comfortably cool (of course, there is a heating during the winter period). The flat has two rooms - one of them with a balcony, a completely fitted kitchen and a tiled bath with tub. The flat is available for as many as 6 persons. In one of the rooms there are 4 single beds (in this room the balcony is located), in another room there is a single bed you can convert into a double bed. So the flat is suitable for two pairs or a big family and for groups. Both rooms are situated at the back (backyard), so they are calm, fitted with a television set. In the kitchen with seats you find knife, fork and spoon, dishes, cooking facilities and the refrigerator. In the floor there also is a table to work.
200 m away there is the tram which leads you directly to the underground station Eberswalder Straße (U2). But also on foot you reach the underground in few minutes (station Schönhauser Allee) where there are also three S-Bahn (city-train) lines (S41, S42 and S8). For car drivers: here you have no problems to find parking spaces. You can reach by public transport:

"Our hostess, Frau Brandenberg, was extremely helpful. She told us places to eat and shop in the neighborhood and arranged for a taxi to pick us up to take us to the airport. She talked to us about Berlin and was very friendly.
Your bed and breakfast ring service was very fast in replying to our enquiries. The photos on the web site were also good and descriptive of the places. The rent for the apartment seemed reasonable compared to other places.
We enjoyed our stay at Stahlheimer Straße. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment very clean. The only thing I missed in the kitchen was a sharp bread knife and a lighter for the gas stove (a.d.R. wird im Apartment ergänzt). The neighborhood has many interesting small cafes and is close to public transportation.
We wanted to stay in a place that would be more like what residents in Berlin experience, rather than one of the huge hotels that might be not very different than a hotel in an American city.
The
next time we visit Berlin we will again use your service."
