Guest room in Cologne

This retro-looking guest room (ca. 13 qms) is on the 4th floor (no lift). It is well-equipped with a double bed (140 x 200 cm), a wardrobe and shelf, table, chairs and a DVD-player. There is also a mini fridge, kettle and crockery. Bed linen and towels are supplied free of charge and the bed is freshly made on arrival. The use of the bathroom with bath is shared with the hostess. Wireless internet is for free.

Guests can prepare breakfast in their rooms: crockery and kettle are supplied. Honey, chocolate spread, bread, butter, tea and instant coffee are there for your use.

Smoking is permitted in the apartment. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

The location of the guest room in Cologne

Central area right in the Belgian Quarter, very near to Rudolfplatz: trendy-cafés, restaurants, bars, designer-stores and Aachener Weiher right on the doorstep.

The local magazine PRINZ described this Belgian Quarter as an “Upper class residential suburb, meeting point for creative people and artists, urban area for agents and media creators, trendy and gastronomy mile: this area is one of the liveliest parts of the city.” Apart from designer stores and every possible cuisine style you can imagine, are cultural highlights like ArtyFarty Streetart Gallery, Galerie Fiebach & Minninger, Galerie Christian Lethert and theatres like Theater im Bauturm and Millowitsch Theater. At the same time, the Aachener Weiher green belt is just a few steps away, and there are many 24 hour kiosks catering for the residents of this quarter.

The hostess worked for 10 years in the local press of a Cologne city magazine and is up to date with the trendsetters in the city. Be it a café, bar, club, event or shopping address – for every visitor, (if you like in english) there is a fitting insider tip. As a member of a Cologne art society, she knows a lot about the cultural scenery of Cologne. When she is “out in the town”, she can often be found hanging out in the Vintage-Café „Hallmackenreuther“ at Brüsseler Platz, in the small Thai snack bar „Krua Thai“ or in the beer garden “Aachener Weiher”.
