Journey:
By S-Bahn (city-train) from Friedrichstrasse into the direction of Oranienburg, Frohnau or Hennigsdorf (line S1 or S25) to station Wollankstrasse. Take the exit back to the engine (exit Wollankstrasse), go left through under the train-bridge, accross the street Wollankstrasse. Brehmestrasse is the first street to the right side.

The guest room

There is a large nice room with natural carpeting for up to three, exceptionally for up to four persons. You can prepare breakfast yourself, if you want you can use food provided, which is certified organic. You share bathroom and shower facilities just with the hostess. Towels and bed linen are provided.

The flat is in the ground floor in an old, renovated house. Here live kind young people, families and singles. The access to the flat is suitable for disabled persons.

From a rather silent accommodation with nice surroundings you can "scout" Berlin, get to know this old, ever changing town, visit cafes, theatres, exhibitions, fairs.

Guests from all over the world are welcome! The hostess speaks English, Russian, and a bit French, Spanish and Polish.

The surrounding Berlin Pankow

The flat is situated in Pankow, an od Berlin district with middle-class and worker's tradition and an interesting history. The film, the cinema - and the thermos - were invented here, many actors, artists and writers lived and live here.

In front of the room there's a small front garden, behind the house you can rest in the yard, which is also like a garden and which passes directly into the former Berlin borderline way. Today it is lushly covered with wild plants in this place. There are two big parks near the house.


Distances to important places in Berlin

There is an excellent connection to the western and eastern city centre. You walk to the S-Bahn (city-train) station just 4 minutes, then it takes you 13 minutes to Friedrichstrasse, about 15 minutes by bus and underground to Alexanderplatz and just 26 minutes to Zoologischer Garten.

Also the beautiful Berlin surrounding countryside is good within reach: in just 20 minutes you can leave the town boundary behind you. You can make long walks or bicycle tour along the former borderline way.

  • the Berlin fair ground, ICC in approx. 22 minutes; by S-Bahn from Wollankstraße to station S+U Gesundbrunnen, then go by S-Bahn lines S42 (direction Schöneberg) or line S47 (direction Spindlersfeld) to fairground
  • the station Berlin Zoologischer Garten in approx. 26 minutes; from Wollankstrasse by bus number 255 to station Osloer Straße, then go by U-Bahn line U9 (direction Steglitz) to station Zoologischer Garten
  • the station Berlin Ostbahnhof in approx. 28 minutes; by S-Bahn line S1 (direction Potsdam) or line S25 (direction Lichterfelde) to Friedrichstrasse, then go by S-Bahn line S7 (direction Ahrensfelde) or line S75 (direction Wartenberg) to station Ostbahnhof
  • the Berlin Potsdamer Platz in approx. 20 minutes; by S-Bahn S1 (direction Potsdam) direct to Potsdamer Platz
  • the Airport Berlin Tegel in approx. 35 minutes; from Kattegatstraße by bus 255 to station Osloer Straße, then take bus number 128 to the airport

The city zone (A) within the S-Bahn-Ring (city train circle) is part of the LEZ. If you want to drive with your car in the Berlin city centre, inform yourself here: LEZ stickers for tourists. This accommodation is located outside the LEZ. You can leave your car here and travel with public transport into the city centre.
