The guest house

The guest house, inside an old renovated building, consists of 4 guest rooms, an open community kitchen, the hall, two marble community bathrooms (each with shower or bathtub, wash-basin, WC), a winter garden and a terrace to the green inner yard. The rooms have been beautifully decorated and equipped with attention to detail. The lighting in the rooms can also be dimmed. The high ceilings in this old building with stucco decoration are very interesting. The rooms feature a laminated or tiled floor. In the kitchen there is a terracotta stone floor. Every room is kept warm by floor heating. The two marble bathrooms (marble floor) are equipped with a bathtub or a shower, a wash-basin, a toilet, a bidet, a mirror and a hair dryer.

Every room features the following items:

• double bed (140 x 200 cm)
• bedside table and lamp
• wardrobe
• seating unit (table/chairs)
• cable TV
• radio / CD player
• DVD player in some rooms
• plants
• mirrors in some rooms
• possibly bookable with an extra bed, depending on room size.

Bedding and towels are offered at no charge. The beds will be freshly made before your arrival. All rooms have window blinds. Of course the rooms can be locked.

The kitchen is completely built in and equipped with a stove / ceran cooking field, oven, fridge, deep freeze, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, dishes and cutlery, dish towels, electric iron and ironing board.

Coffee and tea are freely available to the guests.

The beautiful winter garden sports a large glass table (200 x 100 cm) and chairs, translates seamlessly from the kitchen and provides an area for dining and community.

The corridor is the info platform for all guests, offering lots of information about Cologne, the scene and a lot more.

The stylized terrace is located next to the winter garden and may be used with other guests. Garden chairs and a table are available and invite you to relax in a green ambiance with plants.

Extra charge on the following dates: state holidays like New Year, Easter, May 1st, Pentecost, All Saints' Day, Christmas, New Year's Eve, on big events in Cologne like carnival and Christopher Street Day, fair dates as mentioned at the end of this page.

If you are interested in a particular room of your choice, please notify us upon booking. We will try to reserve the room for you, however we cannot guarantee it.

Unfortunately the accommodation is not suitable for children. Also, pets cannot be brought in respect for other guests with possible animal hair allergies.

The situation

The guest house is located in the center near the central station and the cathedral (approx. 500 m, exit Breslauer Platz), in the heart of Cologne and close to the Rhein-Promenade.

The Kunibertsviertel (Kunibert's quarter) is a restored, original Colognial "Veedel" (quarter) shaped by the coexistence and interaction of generations.

The attraction is mirrored in the age structure. In hardly any other Colognial quarter are there so many young inhabitants.

Shopping opportunities, bars, restaurants, main shopping streets, sights etc. can be reached on foot. This spot is a good starting point for all activities.

The guest house has a very good connection to the infrastructure of Cologne. Public transport, the shipping on the Rhine, a densely-structured motorway web and the Konrad Adenauer airport Cologne-Bonn are easily and quickly accessible.

You can reach all the important sights in a short time by public transport:

• the fairground of Cologne (16 min, direct by S-Bahn S6 - city train)
• the old town, the central station and the cathedral (5 min on foot or 3 min by tram)
• the Cologne Arena (16 min, direct by S-Bahn S6)
• the airport Cologne / Bonn (29 min, direct by S-Bahn S13
• the museum of chocolate (16 min, direct by bus 133 or 978)
• the Rhein-Energie-Stadion (27 min, change once by tram)
• the Phantasia-Land Brühl (approx. 65 min, change once by tram and by bus)
