Situated in the mountain health resort Hasselfelde (about 400 meter high) in the middle in the resin mountains on a high plateau, alongside the delightful reservoir lakes of Bode and Rappbode.

With its central position and easy access by road, it is an ideal starting point for journeys and day trips in all directions. Hasselfelde is connected with the famous and historic "Harzquerbahn" and the "Selketalbahn" trains.

It is a forest lakeside resort idyllic situated with 120 km of well signposted footpaths and an educational nature exhibition.

There are facilities for riding, fishing, ballooning, archery and tennis. In the winter there is a good cross-country skiing trail, tobogganing, natural ice-skating rink and curling. This and a lot more will contribute to a varied and pleasant stay.
