The guest room in Berlin is on the 2nd floor of a converted industrial loft of a small monumental business park, where the front part is a residential house.

Oranienstrassen-Kiez is the creative heart of Kreuzberg SO36 and is bustling with many small and big businesses. Next to numerous yoga studios, kebab-salons, cafés and international snack bars, you will find every kind of craftwork, small factories, artists, services, discoverers, networks and individualists, 24 hour flanuers and philosophers. Nearby are also the Ballroom Naunynstrasse and the Chocolate Factory with a Hamam (unfortunately, only for women).

Ranging from the closely situated punk bar „Trinkteufel“ to the charming „Cake Club“ and on to the Tango-Milonga in „Max und Moritz“ … you’ll never have a problem finding the right entertainment!

The dyke with Turkish Market and Ankerklause are also not far away. The Spree shore with its beach bars and EastSideGallery offer the perfect combination for a leisurely stroll and cultural discovery.

The old market hall in Eisenbahnstrasse as well as many small and big parks and nature reserves, like the vast Treptower Park with the Plänter-Wald are just 2 subway stops away.

The colourful Wrangel-Kietz is a 10 minute walk away.

The 3 guest rooms range from 11 m² to 14 m² in size, with either a double bed (1, 60 x 2, 00 m) or a loft bed (1, 50 x 2, 00 m) and each is suitable for 2 people. Each room has a small desk, 2 chairs, a wardrobe and shelves, creating a quiet place to work. The floor is made of polished concrete.

The newly furbished, tiled bathroom with shower lies between the rooms and the spacious, cozy living room / kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped and can be used at any time. Breakfast is not included in the price, but tea and coffee are for free.

Feel free to browse through one of the many books and magazines. There is no TV, but wireless internet is available and free for all guests. The washing machine may be used upon request.

Smoking is allowed on the factory level. Please respect the other non-smoking guests.

The hosts

The spacious, old factory level, with raw brick walls and ceilings are used by architects and an artist as an office / studio and as an apartment. The other renters in the courtyard run film and casting studios, extras and acting agencies.

The hosts speak German and English.

The business park lies in the centre of Oranien-Kietz, between Mariannenplatz, Oranienstrasse and Görlitzer Park, and can be reached by the subway lines (U1/N1 and U8 at Bahnhof Kottbusser Tor) and a night bus (M29) which run 24 hours and stop just a short walk away. These conveniently connect the east and west side of the city.
